Dog and Cat Heimlich Maneuver and CPR

Signs that your dog or cat is choking:
* Opening their mouth and pawing at their face
What to do:
* Look into their mouth and see if it is pink or blue (blue means lack of oxygen)
* Ball Hands (fist on top of each other)
* Place hands below sternum
* Push firm
Get to vet ASAP to make sure there isn't anything else going on with your pet.

CPR (When pet is not breathing)
* Lay animal on their right side heart facing up
* Bring animals arm back and the elbow lines up to where the heart is located on your pet
* Locate pulse (front paws and back paws measure to where their wrist would be located) also femur under    
   underneath the thigh
Start CPR
* Tilt head use hand to keep the jaw closed
* Breathe into dogs nose
* Bring elbow back to locate heart
* Put hand on top of each other lock fingers together
* 15 compressions to one breath
* Next squeeze stomach (above thigh) keep dog on their side (this aids in bringing blood to the
  heart
* If there there is two people one does compressions while the other squeezes the stomach only after 15 compressions and breath.
